The Z is much lighter and would win especially with you being stock.

ever raced a 95 6cyl camaro? Let's put it this way, if you can smoke that camaro by about 3 car lengths, you and that Z will be close. Track times 1992 Z24 3.1 Auto 1/8 10.26 64.32 mph

1995 6cyl auto 1/8 11.46 61.89

I didn't believe it either, but one thing is for sure those cars run consistant. I thought I was dust when I lined up with him!!! Just run it and tell what happens. you've got my intrest

You should be able to take him, although I don't know how much of a difference there is between the 2.8 and 3.1. I have a friend with a stock 1995 or 1992 3.1L Z24 and I raced him before and beat 'em...

Mark

EDIT: I forgot to add that his Z24 is automatic, if in fact that makes a difference.

i used to own a 92 3.1 rs camaro, and i raaced my buddies 3.1 z24 (which i beleive was a later model year like 94.....i can't really rememeber as it was like 3 years ago, but i know it was 3.1) and i spanked him...i mean literally tore him apart....both were automatics...thats bout it...i think though he may not have known how to drive as it was early in out racing careers
