So I was comming home from school the other night and this guy on the highway was riding my a$$ so I pulled over in the next lane and I saw it was a new G35 so i dropped it down in 4th and started messing with him. He pulled on me pretty good on the highway, but when I got off my exit he followed me. So at the light we ran. I smoked him off the line bout 2 or 3 cars ahead with no tire spin, kept him off for a while, but at about 85 or 90 i could see him start pulling back up a little. At about a 100 he was like 1 and a half cars back. Surprised me how quick they were, looked online and said they have 260 horses or so. Anyone know the times of these things.

 

With 260 hp, I would think they would be in stock L98 territory. So a low 14 second et would be my guess. Good idea about taking him from the stoplight, give him a chance to see where the V8's strongpoint is

 

I was thinkin that they had the same engine as the 350z, a 3.5 liter. Pretty quick and nice lookin little cars, so yeah i've heard around low to mid 14's! Nice kill though!!!

when they came out (although it was the 350z) i raced one...had him until i left 1st by like 2 cars..then..it was all over...he smashed me by like 2 cars...BUT....in defence..i heard a blow off valve so i didnt feel bad!!

i immediately found another one and tried to race...he was game, so i drove my iroc like i stole it..and ended up beatin him by 2.5/3 cars.. i didnt know the turbos in those made that much difference... be on the lookout for these cars man!!

Yea my buddy in his 95 Z raced one of the turbo 350's and it was about a car or 2 behind him the whooolle time all the way. Guess the drag radials kinda helped him out.

Good kill. The G35 is a detuned 350Z, and they run stong for what they are. High 14s should be no problem with mid 14s possbile under good conditions.

BTW - The 350Z does not come factory with a turbo. And while turbo 350Zs do exist, they are about as rare as running into a turbocharged thirdgen. So I can't see all of you running into them on the street. You're confusing them with the older TT 300's - the 350Z is a NA DOHC 3.5L 6 cylinder.

 

i realize that they arent a factory option yet..although owning my own shop i see alot of things..and we put a turbo into 2 350s so they arent that rare... and i also realize that people drive deifferently, but i know the difference between a good driver and a blow off valve..its kind of hard to miss the big PSST when the dude beside you shifts

You've done 2. There have been 10s of thousands sold already. I doubt 100 of them have turbos. They ARE rare. You work at a tuner shop so your view is skewed. I've seen several 350Z's around here, not one a turbo.

 

I didn't know the made turbo kits for the 350z all I seen was prototype kits and the ati procharger supercharger kit

 

yeah..stillen and another company offer turbo kits for them...its no longer just prototype...they are one of the biggest sellers now for tunerz....350z are serious
