beat another thirdgen

Hey everyone, i hate to do it but i got another thirdgen. I was driving down 200 towards the langley bypass in langley and spotted the dark burgandy Iroc he pulled into the java hut to get some coffee and i went over to talk to him. Turns out his car is also got a big motor he is running a 454, kinda werid i thought so we both pooped the hoods. His motor was all cromed out and he said he was putting 600 horses at the flywheel, i didnt really know what to think but didnt seriously think he had that much ponies. Well he said lets go a lil down the road and my gf will flag this, i agreed and we left. So we line up and and away we go it was a dead heat , but as i was pulling in second i was edging away, and by the time i hit high gear i had 2 cars. We pull into the petro can on 208th and we talk for a bit he said he thinks his tranny is goin away so we shook hands and away we go. Chlak another for the big block!

l88s came with a stage 3 power option rated at 435 hp but with a turn of an aircleaner it would increase hp to about 500hp the 425 hp stage 2 option would also gain about 15 hp with flip the aircleaner trick.

You honestly think that there is a big difference between 435 hp and 500 hp for insurance? Once you get over like 300 at the crank it's going to be high no matter what.

There were also instances in which GM would find ways to hide powerful cars, so they could sell the less powerful version for more money. For example if they wanted only insiders to get a race ready big block car for a special price without the general consumer demand factoring in. With a lower power car you definately pay less insurance no matter what, so that was a way they could sell a high power car with lower insurance premiums as well.

Street trim? Whats that? I am assuming no slicks, or drag radials? Deffinately get some ET streets or radials of somekind. Helps out the traction. Fine tune your rear suspenion, whatever your running back their. Should be able to launch well. Your gonna need it with that much power.

Whats your 60' times? They should be pretty low.

The ET is very good for the MPH. It seems you lost 6 MPH from your previous best, but picked up a tenth in ET.Somewhere you seem to be loosing top end HP.Still an incredible car running some very impressive numbers.

hey, the vette was wrecked, it was my uncles car appraised at 106,000 US and the back end was completely ripped away and the frame was more messed up then anyone can beileve. So i bought the motor of him for 8500 running but needed work, becasue of the accident. So it worked out in my favour!
