what will the new setup run?

right now with 3:23's a stock 307 (160-180hp) and a sluggish 5 speed, it runs 15.8@86mph.

in about 5 weeks my new combo goes in. 355, 10.5 to 1 c.r., pro topline vortec heads, comp cams roller cam (.502,.510 234, 236 110) roller rocker arms, edlebrock rpm airgap intake, speed demon 750, fully ballanced, beefed up 700r4, 2500r stall, and drag radials. I am thinkin 13.4-13.6????

First time out I'm guessing low 14's high 13's. Don't get your hopes up too high when taking out a new combo, there's always more work to be done

if he's never been out before to the track, then he wont get his best the first time out.. probably wont anyway, being this is a new motor and all.

I'll guess low 14s at first, ending with a high 13 that night. Look for mid 13s later on.

No offence to anybody, but how would i know it runs 15.8s if i have never been to the track???? Yes, it will take me a little while to get use to it, with an automatic. I think i am an alright driver, I pulled a 2.19 60' with a wore out 307(yes, it IS a 307) and a p.o.s. 5 speed, stock clutch, one tire fire rear end, and bfg radial t/a's. Launched at 2400rpm. After about 1500 or so miles, there is a place out at the track that will dyno tune it for me in an afternoon.

Assuming the engine is healthy and tuned properly, you will be flirting with the 400HP mark. 400HP with a properly setup drivetrain and suspension is a recipe for 12s no problem. What gear will you run? Suspension work?

The rear is now a 3:23 limited slip from a 01 ws6. I will probably stick with that till i start having problems. i will be doing suspension work during the break in period on the engine. i will try to do as much research as i can as to what suspension will work best for my needs. I have faith in the people who will be dyno tuning it, i have seen the diffrence between the cars that go in, and what rolls out.

Do you have any recomendations for suspension????

The basics: do sub frame connectors, tubular lower control arms, tubular pan hard bar, lower control arm relocation brackets, and if you're really serious an adjustable tubular torque arm. Good luck that combo sounds pretty sweet.
