More cylinders would have helped. Seriously though, if you say you kept up with him I am sure that 3:73's would definately help, what gears do you have right now?

ok 140 stock yes but even with the mods he has i dont think hes putting out 160 hp , lets factor in wear and tear , milage etc , plus those arent really mods , i mean yea hes got a flowmaster and a k&n so what . only worth bout 5-10 hp with both of them.

Ok, 5 to 10 horsepower increase? Sounds like mods to me. What would you call them?

yea they are mods but do you atcually think that they are putting him around the 160-165 hp range , i dont . and mustang killer i am positive that he is not getting an extra 15 hp with the flowmaster, reason being because he is running stock exhaust manifolds , btw , k$n filters are good , but way overated , id say that air filter is giving him 3 to 5 hp at best , the muffler probably close to the same maybe 5 to 10 . plus like i said before , factor in milage wear and tear etc etc

I never said he was up to 160 horsepower. With factory ratings he would be close if not more. If we're talking about at the rear wheels, it's a lot lower. And I don't doubt that the mustang took him, no offense, they are pretty quick. And my point is, that what he has are mods. His car is slightly quicker because of them so I would call them a mod. Again, I don't know where the whole 160 horsepower came from. Even if he did have 160, he would have still been beat by the mustang, sorry to say.

People always think that just because Summit or Jegs says flowmasters give you up to 30 hp. This is because they'll test them on a 500 hp motor with stock exhaust and then throw on a flowmaster exhaust.

"198? Ford Crown Vic (no, I don't know why he bothered)"
Well my Crown Vic has about 170 hp as of now. I'm not afraid of any car. I race, win some, lose some. I get tired of this "shouldn't race a camaro" idea. What should happen, same models race? "get a camaro", "get a v8"...Even tho you probably don't support that last one, I'm getting sick of these "fall in with the main strem ideas". My ltd isn't slow and it will get faster. It may be possible to drop 2 seconds+ off the times.

lmfao, what are you going to do to it to drop 2 seconds off the times ? and if you think a 4000 lb car with 170hp is fast than you must have never been in a fast car in your life , my caprice classic has a 350 tbi with 210 hp and its slow as ***** so lease do tell how you got that crown vic so fast ?
Well, really if he thinks a LTD is quick for a 4000 lb monster, then I guess that's ok. I'd like to see a LTD tear the crap out of a L98 or something along the lines. Sleeper cars are the coolest IMHO. Make the LTD faster man!

sorry to hear of the loss man. I know the V6, I had two of them before I got my TPI. The most recent 6 I had was a 92 firebird. I put it up against a 95 stang with the 3.8 and kicked his *** . Then I borrowed my friends 78 ford fairmont and beat the stang in it. The fairmont is similar to the crown vic it has a 302 carb, but still it has no torque and as far as I'm concerned is slow as crap. I'd put my TA up against any crown vic and kick it's *** ! Damn, if I can outrun and police man driving a crown vic in my V6, I can damn straight outrun a crappy 80s model in my TA.
