im just wondering about what a stock lo3 TBI will run so i can get a rough estimate of how much time my mods took off...what do you all think i run? my dad just bought a 95 GT and its a mid 15 second car so what would it take me to hit low 15's?

 

whats mods are done to your car ? most of them run in the 16s , ask kat on this board , hes got a stock lo3 (except for the k&N) , with a 3.73 posi rear , a built transmission , and 2500 stall (too high though , past the lo3s peak torque which is 2400 rpms i believe) and he ran a 15.8@84 . so stock tranny , 2.73s , id imagine mid 16s . whats done to your car ?

 

well with my modds, plus bald tires, stock weight, and only had 3 runs I ran the time in my sig.

 

From what I've heard stock L03 seem to run 16.2-16.3. I never ran my car when it was completely stock, but I ran a 15.98 @ 86.71 mph. My car is for the most part stock. Here is my setup:

5 speed and 3.08 gears in the rear.
K&N with a 1984 Trans Am cowl induction.
Flowmaster cat back
Jet stage II chip.

These times could be better if I could get the tires to hook at a good launch RPM. To make things worse I was peg-leggin' it.

The last time I run my Lo3 at the track it run a 13.56 with the mods listed below.........

i know i'm beating a dead horse but with my stock 84 LG4 i ran 16.2 with a bad trans and bald *** tires, you should be a lil faster than what i run now. 15.7 but my car only has 50k miles

 

i agree, maybe its a typo.

 

Stock my car ran 16.2's. Now myc ar has a L98 cam (stock Z cam), hypertech underdrive pulley, K&N open element, Hooker headers, flowmaster 3" exhaust, sub frame connectors, at the moment I had a Borg Warner rear end with 3.27 gears and posi. Also I had BALD BALD BALD tires. Also my trans was slipping. And my car ran consistant 14.9's

Now I have a drum brake rear end on it again (Drum brakes turn faster than disk so hey its should be faster right? (note: this isnt the reason I put the rear end on)), its gonna have 3.42's with a torsen diff. Imma have new tires and my trans is gonna be rebuilt with racing clutches and a better shift kit. I'm guessing I'll be running mid 14's at the least. But I'm guessing more around low 14's.
