pulsator

I am in the middle of changing my fuel pump, from what I have read on here I should leave the pulsator out and just replace it with the piece of fuel line that came with my Walbro pump? Does
everyone agree with this?

Thanks

Yeah, leave the pulsator out. Use the piece of fuel line that you got. The pulsator is pretty redundant, since there is already a pressure regulator. Besides if the pulsator diaphram ruptures, there goes your fuel pressure and the tank has to come back down. It is just one more thing that can go bad, don't reuse it.

Not to mention it doesn't fit quite right & tends to bleed off pressure. Ask me how I know

Even GM stopped using pulsators on a vast majority of thier cars since like the 1994 model year. If the factory doesn't istall them half the time...

I would never cut a hole in my GTA. It is not that hard to drop the tank, I had it out in about an hour by myself in the driveway. But, I certainly wish they had made an access door like a lot of other cars with intank pumps.

That's a great way to butcher your car. Do you cut 8 holes in your hood when you change plugs?

No, because they are easily accessible.

So is the fuel pump. You just need to take a little initiative, or go buy a celica. They already have an access panel in the interior.

I took the initiative.

I now have a nice riveted/hinged access panel for my fuel pump.

Looks OE.
