I was driving kids to school and I came to a stop to make a left turn as I completed a full stop boom the car just shut off I didn't get worried because i put it in park and it turned right on but it's not giving me any codes what can I do to figure this out? And it turned off while I was holding the brake.

 

A intermitant problem like this can be hard to pinpoint. It maybe the icm, or fuel related. Its allways a god idea to keep a spare icm in the car anyways.

 

I just put a brand new egr u think that might have anything to do with it? What's a icm?

 

icm= Ignition control module, if the egr was being held open your idle would have been rough.

On the 3.1 V6s the combination of steering, braking and slowing down sometimes caused the engines to stall. In some cases the pressure switch on the power steering boxes needed to be changed, in others the PROM was still learning new values for its tables after having the battery disconnected (which will not be the case on your engine).
Just one possible cause.

 

Like other members have said, it could be the Ignition control module or could be the injectors. Test the injectors for ohms. Sounds like an injector to me

 

My injectors are good not even a year old and I forgot to mention that when I brake the engine hesitates like if I revved it
