after build up i blew everything!

hey guys i just got my tranny rebuilt and some custom work with a custom shift kit and a new 2200 stall. no more then 2 times getting on her i blew out the mounts so now i am trying to find the strongest mounts that can handle the power i am thinking of going for the steel ones but want to know if they are the strongest??

if there anything else i should change to handle hard launchs and shifts??

If you go with a solid tranny mount don't you also have to use solid motor mounts, then its alot harder on the rear end? I think you will also get more vibrations.

Don't buy an es mount. Too many problems with with not fitting right and causing problems. Get a prothane one.

Yeah, same here. I've put them on at least 4 different ThirdGens and have never had a single problem.

The rubber mount under the tailshaft of the trans is the transmission mount. ES=energy suspension, it's a company. Their mount is made from polyurethane which is much stiffer than rubber. Summit sells them, though you may also find a local store that has them or can order them.
