Will a turbo kit be availble in a year or two

I was wondering if doward would ever make more turbo kits in the future, or a turbo company or something, or even a supercharger? (1 to 2 years future) Im preparing my car to install one for the future, i debated on a v8 swap or 3.1 turbo and i desided on a 3.1 turbo so i would like to kno if its possible to buy a turbo for my 3.1 down the road?

I want to sya YES, but I 'll also say that he doesn't want to follow the path of Tiago and his little experiment.

What kind of boost can the stock bottom ends handle?

I'd like to figure out some rough horsepower estimates before taking the plunge.

How much would it cost for you to put a Turbo setup on our doorstep Doward?

I got a completely stock 3.1, 136,000 miles, but running like a champ. Small puff of smoke on startup, still runs strong though. Think it would take boost well and not grenade itself?

If a turbo goes in, it seems that a cam, intake and exhaust, headers, and maybe some porting and polishing on the heads would really open it up.

It would be cool to have a fast car that I can still commute with 15+ miles to the gallon.

A small amount of boost, yes (kit comes @ 6psi)

I'm running 10psi on a T61, no signs of giving out at all

PM me for price details... the powers that be, don't like numbers being out for some reason?

Glad to hear at least the option of it being made to order will still be available.

So doward u think my 3.1 w/122,000 miles on it will take 6 psi without a problem or u think i should rebuild the 3.1?

I think a fresh rebuild, forged pistons, and a cam designed to take advantage of teh turbo would net you the best results. Head work will further your results.

Run a compression test. As long as you are good there, not leaking or burning any huge amounts of oil, you should be good to go.

6psi doesn't even begin to tickle the belly of the motor
