there ARE aftermarket front bumper covers available BUT none of the mfgrs bothered to get a license from GM to produce them ( china) therefore they are somewhat thicker ,arent just right in regards...

the equipment you use can be as critical as surface prep,for instance ,if you are getting water in the paint stream from condensation in the compressor tank you may as well be using rustoleum spray...
