Scrapping is not an option to me, as I have rebuilt most of the car mechanically. Fully rebuilt wc t5, rebuilt rear with 3.42 and torsen posi from a 97 ws6, new springs, various suspension parts....

Since the 290 horse 350 from gm has the same bottom end from what I see as the 330 horse HO model, would it sound reasonable to have that swapped instead, and after the warranty is up swap the heads...

Very nice. The 350 HO only puts out 330 horsepower, so it should be fine. Plus it only makes power to around 5200 so blammo. Any suggestions on fuel regulators?

Well, it finally happened. Head gasket blew on the drive home, oil pressure dropped, engine seized! Looks like a swap is for sure now!
