It's Bowtie Overdrive's setup. They make different ones for different cables (ie factory, Lokar, etc).

I tried Edelbrock's more simple one but it was a piece of junk.

SMI stands for Sean Murphy Quadrajet. He is one of the foremost experts in quadrajets.

When I originally rebuilt the electronic quadrajet I purchased all of my sensors through NAPA.

Just saw this. True, they won't go all the way down. However, my head bolt threads were relatively clean even when I bottomed out the chaser on those threads so this wasn't much of an issue for me....

I want to say it was about $260 including shipping for the stage 2 rebuild. From SMI's reputation on the internet and from serious racers that use the quadrajet I have nothing but high hopes.

Long long overdue update:

I've ordered a quadrajet rebuild from SMI. In 5-6 weeks (ouch) it should be back. Also ordered a Lokar oil dipstick and R&M wire looms to replace the easily broken...

Look for an L69 car. They have a larger manifold and 'y'-pipe.

Head over to the exhaust board to get some more ideas. I've personally used Dyno Don's and am extremely happy with them.
