I put a 8.8" in my 96 blazer. Around here you can pick up an 8.8" with a 4.10, 31 splined, posi, disc brakes for under $200. Your not going to find a 9" or 12bolt for that price.

I never seen those headlight covers before, so I can't help you there. But I did take the trim off my old 88 Iroc and it looked a lot better. As soon as I can find the pics I'll post them.

I believe thers just a plastic piece that goes in the bulge. My 91 didn't have that piece and I always had water. My 87 had the plastic piece and it stayed dry for the most part.

We also used the same torque converter. I was just told that could be the problem. Something about it not locking up? Does that sound like it could be the problem?

Car is a 1988 camaro with a 305tpi/700r4. So it started with the trans shifting kinda hard from 1-2. Then it lost 3-4. It would go it second and when it was about to shift into third it was like it...
