Re: Question on tuning

That is an odd year. A 95 can be tuned with Tunercat. A 97 can be tuned with HP Tuners, but I haven't seen anything for a 96. This may be a good time to swap ecm's and not only get rid of the vats,...

Re: Bosch 3 #42 Green Giant injectors.

They aren't bad. I have the injector data for those and they tune in fairly well. It's easier to run them clean on an engine like the 3.8L since it is a sequential injection. Batch fire systems are...

That's actually a Magnacharger. The unit is a MP112. It's the same as this kit, except with fuel injection. http://www.magnacharger.com/sc-gen1.htm They don't make the fuel injected version anymore...

Friends F-body

I figured for the hell of it I'd post some pictures of my friends Camaro on here. It certainly has some of the later idea's on it for working on a project.

Re: I need a torque Converter...how hard to swap?

A higher stall speed converter will help an engine with a high duration/low LSA camshaft idle better due to less load at lower rpm. It won't likely be the fix for your problem though. You may want to...

Re: Do you need a rear end gear that goes well with transmission gear?

Alot of good reading here. I'll post up my opinion for the hell of it. With a 700R4/4L60 I recomend a 3.23 gear for a daily driver, 3.73 for a weekend toy, and 4.10 gear for a mostly raced vehicle....

Re: 2.73 to 4.11 with 87' 700R4

I've ran with every gear from 3.08, 3.23, 3.42, 3.73, and 4.10. All at times with different torque converters. The 4.10 gear is fun and not bad as long as highway driving isn't in the thoughts. My...

Re: recommendations for 305 cam+heads+intake

We've had L31's on the dyno to 5800 testing different problems. We've had them to 5500 or so with 10psi of boost without valve float. Valve float didn't show up on it to 5800 when N/A. If I were...

Re: recommendations for 305 cam+heads+intake

5500rpm isn't very high for an L31. If you're staying around the same lift as the stock cam and not turning high rpm the valve springs aren't a big deal. It would be decent to go to an LS6 spring or...

Re: recommendations for 305 cam+heads+intake

I'd look into the Comp Cams X4250H (part number 12-231-2). That should work with the stock valve springs on the L31 heads and not have clearance issue's. With that cam and those heads on a 305 you...

Re: With these parts I should be pushing 500hp, the track numbers say otherwise.

Since when is a 14.6 in the quarter a John Force reference? Newer Camaro's run that in stock form with a bad driver and bad weather.

Re: 85 TPI or IROC?

If you have the G92 option and can shift it fast enough you should be able to take him. It will be close though as the 85's had the 215hp and were pretty quick from the factory for a third gen.

Re: Need some T.B.I. help

Re: With these parts I should be pushing 500hp, the track numbers say otherwise.

The 4.56 gear is excessive unless you're running a very tall tire. With that cam you're going to want to run at least a 3,000 stall and I'd look into a 4.10 gear. Judging by what you're running I'd...
