I'm sorry fellow thirdgener. Its been awhile since I've done my swap. I never got my ebrake working, but didn't put much effort forward. I believe I swapped the prop valve from another junk yard...

Does anyone know if you have to remove the transmission or at least pull it back a little to install a new clutch fork or can you keep trans connected?

Ended up finding one on gearbox. Com, cost about 72 bucks. That was the cheapest I found too.

ended up being the clutch fork broke in half. One half was hitting the pressure plate causing the chatter. Anyone know where to grab one of these forks, I only see one on ebay.

Motor is original. Got it to work for now. Took door panel off and it just started to work again. Gonna see how long it lasts

No the other drive shaft had its own u-joints I did visually inspect the u-joints and they didn't seem to sloppy but it could be the problem

the front wasn't touched the rear was bleed throughly but not as much as your talking about. maybe i'll retry.

yes i did bleed the brakes twice. no air bubbles and i checked the fluid level as i was bleeding the brakes. why would the prop valve be the problem with the spongyness of the brakes i thought the...

i switched from a 85 camaro 10 bolt rear with drum brakes to a 87 firebird 9 bolt rear with disc brakes. i converted everything over and the brakes are the only thing that are not working correctly....

what exactly is better about either or? is one more powerful i heard the 9 bolts have a better posi unit in them that uses a cone type clutch, no clue what that means if someone could explain.

according to the thirdgen information pages on the trans ams the rear ends came with 2.77 and 3.27 for the L98 trans am. are you sure its a 3.23?

does a flexplate for a 700r4 interchange with other years of camaros 700r4. would a 85 700r4 flexplate hook right up to a 89 700r4 trans.

wow that does make things harder when your looking for a used rear end. now when you say its an option , your saying that not all v8 camaro and firebirds had the limited slip.

i think my car has an open differential and everyone just calls it limited slip because it slips!!

when i lift my car up and turn one wheel one way the other will go in the opposite direction.

what i don't understand is that in a 3rd gen when you have a limited slip differential it usually spun 1 wheel. and in the 4th gen camaro and firebirds the limited slip usually spins 2 wheels at...
