Back in High School my "friend" borrow my car well on his way he was in front of another friends house and did what you mentioned. My drive shaft flew out of the car about 50 feet. Total damage....

Mine did the samething after an hour of adjusting the rear hatch pull down housing it started to work right. Becareful on getting one from a junk yard as they are quite pricey(+100)
