Yeah, I think that's your knock sensor plug. Look in your pic, just beyond your thumb there. You'll see the knock sensor in the block.

It almost looks like the type of flange-plug that would be on either the knock sensor or the fan sensor. Did you see what color the wire is leading into it? I couldn't tell from the pic.
