My car isn't really anything to look at, but like some others, the interior has been kept up pretty nice. The first night I got it running again this year, I took it out for gas late in the evening, and had a guy stop me on my way inside comment on how good of shape it is in for all of the original body panels and stuff. Most of the other stuff comes from my girlfriend.

"Where is the mirror at? I need to do my Make-up"

It may only be a V-6, but taking off at lights and stuff, I like to step on it, and when it rev's up

Hey now not all v6s sound like ****, mine sounds pretty damn good, but then it better with all the money I have into my exhaust, anyone who actually knows cars will know its a v6 because it doesn't have the bass rumble of an 8, but it sounds about as good as a 6 can, kind of sounds similar to a harley actually...same tone different pitch or something like that. I have heard another v6 camaro that had stock exhaust with a flowmaster or something though and that sounded like crap, I'm really glad after all the money I spent on a full new exhaust that mine sounds good, lol, doesn't have that rasp that most of them do, even when I rev the living hell out of it.

 

Mine is all stock, but has an all new exhaust up the to catalytic converter. The only real noise you hear in it is the engine when I get on it a little. I'm a sassy driver 24/7. Haha. It still sounds good though. I just saved up enough money to have a newer model 700R4 put in it here next week, and then I'm going to read up on exhaust as I know nothing about it really. I guess she just hasn't heard what a nice loud engine sounds like. Haha.

 

I guess I must give people a bad vibe. In my entire life, I have received only one direct comment, and it was a surprise. A guy in his early 20s complimented my IROC.

 

Not much to know about exhaust really, only 1 choice of headers or performance catback made for the v6s atm, and I think 1-3 direct fit catalytic converters, you can of course put a different muffler in than the catback comes with, but I don't see a reason too, sounds great, I was actually surprised tbh, was worried it would sound bad, I think magnaflow used to make a v6 catback, but only dynomax and I think walker(non performance) does now.
You can use a v8 catback though I think, but idk the differences if any. Also engine has an effect on exhaust too of course, I never actually heard my exhaust through the 2.8, the few times I ran that engine briefly was open headers, then found the crack on the side of the block =/ Air intake setup can actually impact how loud an engine is a surprisingly large amount, doesn't make the exhaust louder, but you'll hear a lot more noise from the front.

My wife(25 yrs old) and I (24yrs old) just bought our firebird as a toy for the weekends and I was playing with it one day and smoked off the tires and my neighbor(50yrs old) asked my wife if the smoke was normal. Lol she just roles her eyes and told him its a toy! My 2 yr old loves it and wants to ride in it all the time. I think I know what she will be driving to school. Another thing I get asked is why I let the wife work on the car? I ask them why not and get told she's a woman. This iritates me and I explain she has built more cars from ground up than they can dream of owning. (her dad builds show cars and has for 30+ yrs)

this car was a serious rice p.o.s i mean he had a giant plastic spoiler that looked like a cut up ducks tail it was completely stock except for seat covers and one of those shitty do it yourself little black antennas coming out of the roof and he tried to show off in it everyday, but he couldn't drive and it wasn't fast, this kid was the definition of "douchebag" and he actually blew it up while he was "showing off" revving it up one day, he redlined it for like 10 mins and then i heard the sound of metal shearing and then the engine making the most god awful knocking noises and then nothing cuz he shut it off, there was alot of smoke and he was balling his eyes out , what did he expect would happen when he tried to rev a dogged out pos eagle talon like a ferrari, dumbass

I've figured it'd take way too much money and effort to make it a nice daily driver (Put AC back in it, new heater core, replace all the cracked ducts, completely go through and replace most of the interior, carpet, door panels, just everything) so I decided to strip it. It was originally a 305 IROC, 305 was long gone before I bought it, so I'm not ruining anything super collectible.

So far I've sold the stock 700R4 for $200, sold the arm rests, washer fluid and coolant overflow tanks for $75, I'm pretty sure I have my stock seats and stock IROC hood going for $400 this coming week.
