How to remove VATS Completely, Idk and I speculate it's much harder a tasks than it seems. Also, I thought the "Starting Issue" was addressed in https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/elec...ump-start.html where it was stated on 02/27/2019 "I got the car started yesterday it was my battery needed to be charged up at Autozone it’s 4 years old" If VATS was truly the reason there would be an amber colored security light on in the Gauge Cluster and it wouldn't go off. If you do not have a consistent Security Light VATS isn't your issue. Btw, Unless you are an Automotive Electrician or have the Wiring Schematics I do not suggest tampering with trying to remove an aftermarket alarm either.

I've learned many costly lessons by jumping into DIY w/out the correct knowledge, so yes that's the best bet....

When you have a Known Good or Known Charged battery pay attention when your turning the key to the 1st position (Run Position) you should have LEDs for BRAKE, INFL RESET, and SECURITY light up I know for sure... INFL will remain lit if there's an Airbag issue, BRAKE will remain lit if the E-Brake is engaged and SECURITY should come on for about 2-3 seconds and go off if the VATS system is operational. If it truly "does not crank or do anything" then my friend revisit that battery situation first.

Re: 91 Camaro won’t start

Have you tried to jumper the starter enable relay?
or atleast check for power when you turn the key to crank position.

Re: 91 Camaro won’t start

A volt ohm meter or test light are very cheap. You can make a jumper to bypass the relay the two larger gauge wires get jumpered together. Of while trying to crank the car over check for power at the yellow or green wire. If you have power there vats is the issue and needs to be fixed or bypassed in one of the ways mentioned in the link I posted.
