LCA relocation bracket install

Finally welded my LCA relocation brackets to my Currie 9" housing. I was a little nervous about welding on such a great piece of fabrication, but I'm happy with how it came out.

Re: LCA relocation bracket install

Is the weld a little undercut in spots, or is it just the lighting in the photo?

Referring mainly to the bottom right in the first picture, and on both of the vertically oriented welds

Looks good to me. You could get sleeves and weld one in the center of the upper bolt like the 10 and 9 bolt kits do. I do find it ironic how many aftermarket carriers don't have them by default for these applications. If someone spends 900-1000 on carrier/axle kit with basic lca hookup the company should at least offer lca brackets.

From the looks of the pictures it looks like the brackets are welded on backwards? The spring perches should be on the cover side? the shock mounts are on the carrier side?

Looks okay to me. 9" are front loading so center opening should also be open facing with brackets and shock mounts should be flat. The picture is a little misleading it almost looks like the cover bside not the carrier side.

that the angle the picture was taking it looks like an optical illusion, they are welding on correctly, you actually are looking into the housing and seeing the back side of the cover. Its hard to explain lol
