When a newbie joins and talks like a big boy, and displays poor grammar skills is practically begging to get picked on. As in my behalf, anyone can assume the thought that I stated soley because he failed to fully explain the foundation of his claim. That in itself clearly shows that he does what we call in Spanish "una media" roughly meaning "a half." But I'll take your advice and be the man here by not commenting back. With that said, I'm done with him. Now if he fires back, then he'll basically be talking to a wall.

On another note, I opened up my center console to get an idea of what approach I'll take when I install a B & M Mega shifter. As I looked back inside, I found a lot of shredded paper. Must be the nest of a rodent.

I actually used a rubber bat like that in my dodge truck to act as an insulator when i was installing a switch near the floor board under the console. I just laid it under the switch to keep it from grounding to the floor haha

I did find a feather in my radiator when I first got my IROC back in 2003. PO must of nailed a chicken in the road.

Lol or any number of winged rodents. Is your car originally from the west? It's in good condition for a 27 year old car that is residing in one of the hottest and driest parts of the US.

Re: No doubt a pointless thread, but what's the weirdest thing youv'e found in your c
Yes. My IROC is soley from the South Eastern section of California. We get very little rain here (avg around 1.1" a year). There is no rocker panel rust at all. One thing that I do appreciate from the PO is his lack of money or common sense. My Camaro has 4 or 5 layers of paint (2 or 3 lower reds and 2 upper blacks). So when I get around to media blasting the body, it should be free of rust. I just hope that the rear passengerside quarter panel isn't too badly damaged. It's obvious that there was a blow out because there is some bondo around that area that recently began cracking last year.

I don't think I have found anything different than anyone else but: **** mags and videos, sunflower seeds, coins, blunts, rolling papers, business cards, "magnum" size condoms, zippo lighter with chevy symbol, and a fake rubber cobra snake. I keep it on my porch to scare people when they walk up.

Re: No doubt a pointless thread, but what's the weirdest thing youv'e found in your c
Nothing too weird. Probably about $10 in change, a bunch of screws, blown fuses, a Ford pendant, dirt, pine needles. I found a hood light sitting on the motor along with a few metal things. And there was a little bees nest under the rocker ground effect piece. The worst thing I found was the giant wad of wires I pulled out from the old head unit that was in it. Like it was crammed in there so I pulled it all out and chucked it. But I've cleaned it out so many times I forget the random things I've found.

I am pretty sure the PO of his car welded the torque arm to the trani cross member.
My GTA was bought from a dealer so nothing in there but I have not pulled the carpet yet.
My daily driver (Mercury Sable) had a tape in it. You know the loud chants and stuff they play in middle eastern countries over loud speakers in the towns? The stuff you can hear all over town?
Yea, that was the tape they play that was in my car.
I kept it and for a long time I would drive through malls and parking lots with it playing as loud as I could make it. LOL My wife made me toss it out. She just does not find the same stuff funny that I do.

Ok, so I'm sure I posted something on this thread somewhere along the line, but don't feel like going through the pages to find it. Anyway....
1.) 89 GTA -- Recently discovered that the aftermarket fuel injectors are for a Ford....they have the oval with FORD stamped on the housing.
2.) 87 TA -- "Bastardized" heater hose routing (no heater valve), 10 fuel injector electrical connectors (apparently someone replaced the fuel injector electrical connectors because 8 of them are the same & in very good condition, and the other 2 look old & dirty like they are the stock ones). I guess if I decide to add 2 more cyls. I can...LOL. Half-assed painted (in black) interior panels (originally tan/whatever that stock color was). The floor pan from front to rear was covered with sound dampening material (like Dynamat). The coup-de-gras is something I didn't even pay attention to when I bought the car....missing VIN plate in the window. SMH!!! Exactly why this is a parts car now.

when I got my 86 TA back in 85 the engine fan wasnt connected so it overheated.

License plates covering holes in the floor board held on with Duct tape. It went straight to the crusher after I got the black interior out of it.

Found a 20 year old scratch-off lottery ticket in mine under the console when I was installing the head unit, it was a winner too. Apparently someone never went and got their dollar back! Also found an Aerosmith greatest hits tape that didn't work.
My beater Toyota pickup had one of those ugly metal tool boxes in the back. Inside it I found:
-An employee training binder from a nearby factory
-One of the big D cell Mag Lites (score!)
-The keys to the tool box, ziptied to a hinge inside the unlocked tool box
-Court documents for a child support case from the PO
-Several 1hr. photo envelopes filled with pictures from the PO
-Several pairs of shoes, men's
-One pairs of running shoes, women's
-A small crescent wrench
-A battery terminal brush
-A can of starting fluid
-A couple T-shirts
-The PO's dirty underwear
-Two ratchet straps
-Dirty socks
And the grand prize was a frog gigging pole that he left in the bed!
I considered burning the damn thing but settled on disinfecting it really well, returning the personal crap, tossing the clothes and keeping the useful stuff. I still have yet to use the frog gigging pole though

I highly agree. I really like those injectors, and think they disperse (atomize) fuel better than the OEM style ones I have in there now. The only problem I had with them is when I had to take the fuel rail off I couldn't get them set back in properly even though I put them into the intake manifold first, then set the fuel rail on them. They don't have the lock clip groove.

I bought a wrecked 92 Camaro from the police impound lot for $200 and I found details and police statements in the glove compartment about how it was wrecked. Turns out, the guy died in it when he wrecked. The car was a drug car that they didn't search very well. There was $300 dollars under the passenger side back seat and syringes stuffed into a rip in the carpet under the driver side seat.

An odd thing I found in my 83 Z28 was broken glass on top and underneath the carpet. Also found a ratchet with 1/2" socket, a coil of wire behind the radio and an alarm system that was partially hooked up. Speaker wire and Marrette connectors made up plenty of the electrical sys. The driver door lock is from the 70s.
In my 51 Chevy I found a sock, rifle ammo, in the body mount at the firewall was a point file and 1/4" wrench. Lots of mouse fluff in the radiator. Sheet metal from a household appliance was laying over the holes in the floor.

When replacing my fuel pump, I found a small spot on the corner of the tank where someone had repaired a hole. Looking more closely, I discovered that it was a penny used as a patch. Also found the usual stuff: a roach, rolling papers, change etc. Although, I did buy the car off of a friend so those weren't so strange...

Re: No doubt a pointless thread, but what's the weirdest thing youv'e found in your c
In the 94 Explorer I had before I bought my Trans Am I found the rear view mirror had some sort of stain in the middle that was no longer reflective
A center console from another car that would get in the way of the shifter so I'd miss 2nd and 4th alot and it was covered in dried soda.
Oh and a rusty hatchet between the Driver's seat and a the console...
My Trans Am on the other hand had a live wasp's nest behind the driver's side mirror. I found that out driving it home with the windows down....
The guy I bought it from was the original owner and had ordered the car with no radio, only to have a custom one installed (in 86)
The wiring behind that radio was such a clutserf***.

Found a peanut cam under my passenger seat from the lg4 that is in it right now! Score! Still has a peanut cam lol, it was just replaced. Also found an empty ***** box (no joke). That was odd.

My guess is that it is a camshaft with lobes that are too small...?

In my 89 t/a i found everything original in the trunk though the engine compartment had been butchered. The spare tire compartment had never been touched because the prior owner bought a full size tire for the car. Also found a lot of family photos and matches.
