carb modded for a S/C?

i have plans on supercharging my other car and its carbed but i have a 750 double pumper carb on it, is there anything i need to do to this carb to have it setup for a blow through style supercharger? im only going to be running about 4-6psi(closer to 4) so i dont think itll put alot of pressure on the floats and such.

You'll need solid floats and you'll need to cut off the choke tower.

From andrew slater/ swt racing
This is for more serious power levels.

This is what I did on previous 6psi set up- Mill choke horn, nitrophyl floats, few jets up in primary, 8-10 in secondary, bigger squirters to eliminate tip in stumble. This will at least get you started, then get a wide band o2 or dyno time.
Also don't forget about fuel pump and regulator.

You have to mill the choke tower off in order to fit a carb hat on it.

Like blown3rdgen said, you'll have to increase your jet size also (about ten jet sizes or so).

i deffinately have hood clearance so is there any way to get a taller carb hat? i know K+N makes one but that looks like it would be kind of short. do either of you have the PT# for the floats for the carb?

I recommend the EV hat with a 1" spacer (o-ring seal)

No matter what hat you use, you'll still have to remove the choke as well as epoxy the hole for it's linkage. My car starts fine without a choke.

Alrgiht, thanks for the info guys! i know paxton makes a blow through S/C setup and it has a huge carb box that sits on top, i doubt you have to cut the choke tower for that style but it would probably be expensive for that box.

Not to mention having to take the box apart every time you want to make a small adjustment.

It's not hard, it's just a pain in the @ss to have to undo all the screws just to do something as simple as adjust the idle.

maybe i can find one cheap on e-bay, a box because i do not want to cut my box, i called summit's tech line and they said i dont have to cut it off with a box and i shouldnt have to block off my powervalves ect. just boost reference them and use the new floats and maybe a few other small things. so i dont know who to trust on this. he said he has some books he is sending me on how to do it. so i have those on the way.
