That is a lean condition.

It could also be severely retarded timing.

The simple thing to do would be to try tuning the motor; i.e. vary the fuel pressure up and down and see what happens, vary the timing up and down and see what happens, etc.

from what Ive been told and experienced when its hot like that its lean, try to give it a little more gas or adjust the advance on the distributor, but off the top of my head your timing sounds about right.

Well, sounds like you're running lean to me. I guess if you run it like that and get a hole in your rod from running that lean then you'll know.

I would recommend uping the fuel pressure to about 46psi.

I would also recommend getting an AutoXray scanner or some sort of scanner to scan the car.

You can get a factory refurbished AutoXray for $89.99 plus shipping at http://www.autocheckup.com/refurb.htm

I think you're running rich...unburnt fuel is now burning in the primaries.

Have a O2 sensor hooked up you can monitor?

I think you are running rich too. Been there, done that. Unburnt fuel is burning in the exhaust primaries.

You didn't say whether you had the car programmed for the injectors yet? Do you? If not, then that is the problem.

Have you got a new cam? It is unburnt fuel in the exhaust...... Probably caused by timing (ie. cam timing).

Definately check your timing....I had the same problem with mine and the timing was way off. Also make sure you have the correct timing tab.
I'm also going to agree with some of the other guys and suggest that you up your fuel pressure to like 46-48.
