i just finished it up tonight i'll give feedback tommorrow. One thing i did notice though is that the pedal feels a lot lighter than the one in there before. haven't taken her outta teh garage yet.
It'll break in and stiffen up in a couple weeks, same thing happened on every gm i did a clutch job on. Plus a new clutch grabs so hard I can almost guarantee you'll stall it the first time, i always do.

the results
It has a very light pedal feel and it grabs quickly. didn't stall it though. it doesn't slip at all. all and all a good piece. can't wait till it's broke in so i can reallly hammer down.

They are the smoothest operating clutches I've ever had. No trace of harshness, chatter, etc. at all; yet they hook up like a piece of metal when you want them to. I've only had 3 of them so far, so I don't have to rely on what I "heard" in the McDonalds parking lot on Friday night.
Yes the pedal will feel light at low RPMs. Makes it real easy to drive in bumper-to-bumper traffic. But it will stiffen up quite a bit at higher RPMs. That's what those weights on the diaphragm fingers are for.
Drive it gently, just typical street driving, for 500 miles or so; don't work it hard until after that.

Yep, I've had two of the dual friction units and been quite pleased with both of them. The one I've got in front of my T-56 right now grabs very nicely and is quite streetable. I'm sure you'll be very happy with it in the long run, just make sure and follow the breakin procedure and take it easy for the first 500 miles or so, they're great pieces!
