Re: Vertical movement in tilt steering mechanism unusual problem!

I have the exactly same problem with my '91 Trans Am. If I push down on the wheel, the play is in right corner, not left like you have. It shouldn't be like that!

I have also taken the column...

Re: My '87 ROC

Oh man, forgot that I had a "project" story going on here at the Thirdgen.
Camaro has a LS1 and a T56 and the original 5.7 TPI and the TH700 are long gone.

Had a chance to try the standing mile...

Re: '91 Trans Am Vert 5.3 and T56. Second swap has started.

Im using the stock TPI air intake with K&N filters in the Camaro. I tested it in the dyno, with it and with out it, no restriction there. I was little surprised, but happy with it.

Thanks, Dakota Digital dash is great, I love it.

And the old stuff is coming out of the car, no more lazy automatics!
5.3 liter is going to have a Comp XR269HR and a LS6 valvesprings, otherwise stock.

Progress will be quite slow...

'91 Trans Am Vert 5.3 and T56. Second swap has started.

I did a LS1+T56 swap to my '87 Iroc, and what a difference to what it used to be with a 5.7tpi+TH700! Engine and tranny are from '02 f-body. All stock LS1, just Hawks longtube headers and SLP maf....

Re: LT1 swap Air intake

If you have the TPI intake setup from Camaro, you can keep it. It didn't restrict anything with my LS1. And it was putting 320hp to the wheels in the dyno.
