Re: how many ram air fabs do we have on 3rd gen's

I had ram air boxes fabbed up that look just like the hawks version. Really surprising how much of a difference that made with all the restrictions removed.

Re: 2004 Mustang GT Kill

its not all that hard to bark the tires on a gearshift with a manual.

If your "full bolt on" L98 doesnt bark going into second you have really great tires or dont have a shift kit of any kind.

you would have destroyed him from a dig. Nice kill though. Really shows what a couple of well thought out mods will do. Even to an ol' 305.

Re: F-bird VS bonnevile

You win by default because your friend is under the impression that he has a v8 Bonneville. Also because he has some notion that his 3.8L V8 (hah) is fast.

Re: Awsome camaro!

the strut bar? Stiffens up the front of the car, and improves handling. If you dont already have them i would do a wonder bar and subframe connectors (SFCs) first.

I really like it (exterior wise)!

Now upgrade the brakes and it had better have the v12 like the sticker says or atleast a serious v8.

Re: he needs to be shot!!!!

As far as drivetrain efficiency goes FWD > RWD > AWD. yeah AWD does drain a considerably higher amount of hp thanks to friction.

what tire are you running? If its just some street tire well then theres your problem.

Its not rocket science. Oh and BTW your not going to be doing too much front wheel lifting on the street.

Re: 88 firebird vs 98 camaro

More gear and stall on the LS1 car will make a huUUge difference. But without em id give the race to you. Basically its a stock car with exhaust(+LT's) and the fast intake. Should be a high 12 second...

While were on the subject. What exactly is the "baby" lt1 called? Its something like 283 cubes right? And whats the bore/stroke? How would one recognize a baby lt1 vs a 5.7 L version?

Re: 4.8 vortec LR4

In my area the lowest preices are

4.8 : 1350

5.3 : 1600

6.0 : 1800

If the price spread was like that id spend the extra coupe hundred on the 6.0. Or atleast the 5.3

12's with a small nitrous shot and a 350 is obviously doable. Where reliability really happens is in the tune. And mail order tunes wont cut it. You need to be able to tune yourself or spend bookoo...

Re: 88 iroc-z vs 01 mustang GT

A PI mustang should be faster then a stock l98. By about half a second in the 1/4.

hes got a 14 flat car. Your more then likely a 14.5 car. Assuming your friend can drive.
