Just a point, but the computer works with the CC Quadrajet that was on there originally to lock up the TC. In order to lock it up if you have removed the computer from the equation you need this.

Depends on what type of power out of them. I would say a safe bet is a forged rotating assembly. Forced induction is never cheap. You might be able to get away with a set of forged pistons however. ...

Some do some do not. Depends on the place. Like said never hurts to ask. I know of a few places that used to give some credit. They would even take multiple cores up to 3 for one engine purchase...

Another thing is with the holley since your car was originally Computer controlled you will need a new disty too. if you didn't get one. you need a non-computer controlled one. it all works...
