Just a point, but the computer works with the CC Quadrajet that was on there originally to lock up the TC. In order to lock it up if you have removed the computer from the equation you need this.

Some do some do not. Depends on the place. Like said never hurts to ask. I know of a few places that used to give some credit. They would even take multiple cores up to 3 for one engine purchase...

You shouldn't have to remove the dash.. just the bottom area under the driver's side. Since that is the way the wire goes.

the TPI cable will NOT work crrectly with a Carb. you need the carb cable. the TPI cable is about 2.5 to 3 inches longer or so... you have to buy a cable for a Carb application. not for a TPI...
