Re: camaro making me crazy bracket racing

It also don't hurt to learn to race at the stripe. Better to dial too slow and time crossing over the finish line than to dial too fast and not be able to do anything but watch 'em fly by.

Yeah, it'd be a really awesome car to have, just because it's a brand new 1985 model but he's nuts on the price.

Re: Dead spot. I need help!!

Had the same problem running the 670 Street Avenger on my 305. Up the size of the jets and it will fix it. I don't remember how many steps larger I went, I bought a jet kit and experimented.

Re: To shift or not....

Yeah, manual shifting with the stock shifter definitely blows. If not careful, I would always overshoot when shifting from first to second and hit third :gocrazy:

It's been so long since I put mine in but I do know I didn't have to cut anything. As I recall the drivers side went right in, the pass. side was a little bit of a bitch but got it done.

Re: Removing transmission, can torque converter be left on engine?

Just to add to the gloominess, I've never seen a case when someone cinched down the bell housing bolts with the torque converter not properly seated where it DIDN'T bust the pump in the transmission....

Re: Pinks All Out Maple Grove 2010

Re: Bought a tow rig

My understanding is this is supposed to be the last year for the 6.4. Next run will be a (6.7 I believe?) ford built engine. It will be interesting to see how that turns out.

Re: Powertrax Lockright- how do i know which one to buy?

By the way, mine works real well, when it's locked, it's LOCKED. You just have to learn to drive a bit different, as it'll drag a tire if you don't coast around a corner. As long as you're off the...

Re: To the drag strip i Go

Now you have a baseline. Do your tune up stuff and go from there. The stock rear end gears, if they're like mine were (2.73's) are killing you as well.

Re: spool

You won't find a mini spool or a spool to fit the 7 5/8" 10 bolt. They make a mini spool that will fit the 7.5" but not the 7 5/8.
