Removing top frame?

Has anyone yanked the top frame out of their car? Looking down into the mechanism those are some pretty beefy springs. Don't want to lop off my fingertips.

When I worked at chevy about a decade ago we had all the old keycode books and just called GM for the vehicle's stock keycode using the VIN. '90 was the oldest thirdgen I could get info about though.

Bingo. I've never built a set of wheels but that makes absolutely no sense to me. I can understand the idea of it being rough cast or something similar but it seems like it'd be much more difficult...

FYI; Almost every auto parts store carries them under the Dorman line. EG; 611-109 is what O'Reilly lists per application for my car.

Glad it worked out! That's a beautiful car. I ran that exact setup for quite awhile, PBRs, 2" spacer and c6 wheels.

I ran c6 5 spoke wheels for years with c6 z06 brakes and a 2" spacer. No issue that a small hammer didn't fix (which would've been worse with a smaller spacer. I can't fathom how weird a 1.5" spacer...

I don't see how if could go from ground to the switch and then the starter. The starter solenoid requires power to actuate it so power has to come from somewhere.

Follow the wires for the momentary switch back to where there attach to the car. I agree it's probably to bypass the VATS starter relay.
