hotchkis, and some v6 parts

i have a set of hotchkiss subframe connectors they bolt in in the front and weld in in the back, they have never been installed. 100$ shipping of these is going to be expensive so id much rather sell...

There isn't any rust that I can think of the quarters are fine and the motor had ahead gasket leak until I got it so the floorpans were pretty greased and saved them from rust there is 1 rust hole in...

i have a white 86 firebird 2.8 with a 5 speed. i loved this car but ive moved to a newer car and i need space in the driveway. i drove this car everyday in the spring summer and fall its a great car...

if you can bump it over till you see one of the timing marks then pull the #1 plug and lightly feel around with a screw driver or flashlight. #1 should be at tdc

here are the pics that weight on the top of the flywheel in the first pic doesnt seem like it can some off easily i do have a plasma cutter and grinding wheel if i need to get it off :lol:

well it has what looks like a weight cast into it on the crank side but i dont think its possible to get it off but i might as well just buy a new one now that ive pulled it out ill post pics of the...

ok pulled it off today and there is no weight it just has holes drilled into it so i guess im buying a flywheel so does anyone have a suggestion on a place to buy one and a part number i dont trust...

yea i was figuring that was the issue.. i had called napa earlier to see if the flywheels were different and they claim that its the same part # and they say that the bolts are the difference ......

well i have the pressure plate on the flywheel (from the 86) im just not sure if the 86 was externally balanced and the 89 is internally balanced or vise versa or if its all the same ... im going to...

i just payed i think 15$ for a belt w\o airpump but that was for my 86 2.8 so my belts are different but it was about the same price as the reg. one

my parts car came with "locking lug nuts" nothing a hammer and cheap socket couldnt fix ... so if someone wants them bad enough you cant really help it

ok so just a couple things ive noticed is that the alternators are completly different ... so i was planning on swapping the 89 alt. pulley onto the 86 but that may spin it backwards (thank you...

i have a 89 firebird its got a 2.8 and 700r4. the 2.8 i have out of the car with the wiring harness. i was told the engine ran before i bought it. it had spark but i was never able to get fuel to it...
