Make sure your ground is no longer then 3ft first off.

Next that is common on "crappy" amps. Seeing as you have a nice alpine it shouldnt do that tho.

Well you can either go two different directions with this. If you new speakers have wires coming off them you can attach the stock factory harness from the broken speakers onto the new speakers.

Do you have the dual 4 or dual 2 ohm coils? This makes a difference in the amp you choose.
