comp turbo cam 230/236"roller"
holley stealth ram
1.6 full roller rockers

89fbirdformula, that's a start... With numbers it's easier to get an idea of how well it works in the real world.

Is this thread dying a quick death?

No, it was started a year ago and died peacefully. Now it's back in business.

Numbers/track times will definitely help this thread out though.

Re: post your tpi powerplant combos

Vortec 383 TPI- 1988 GTA-Pocket ported heads, smoothed and polished exhaust ports, ferrea valves and sized intake ports at the pushrod pinch (to prevent port stall). Vortec TPI intake, ported and sized. AS&M Long Tube runners. SLP 1 3/4 headers, 30# SVO injectors, welded and ported plenum. Custom CAI system. All induction components ported to proper CSA based on length and target peak torque RPM. 0411 PCM. Borla catback, dynotune, stock stall, 4L60-E. 10.4:1 compression. Typical bolt on mods. Makes 335 RWHP at 5400 RPM and 451 RWTQ at 4050 RPM. 30mpg@ 70mph. Needs more dyno time.

350 TPI- SLP siamesed runners, ported. Stock GM TPI base, ported. welded and ported TPI plenum. SLP shorties and borla catback. Stock rebuilt 350 TPI heads. 10.2:1 compression, LT1 cam. typical mods. Unknown how much power it made but it ran well before I pulled it.

382ci Tuned Port LT1
LE2 LT1 heads, Accel TPI conversion base, Accel runners, Electric water pump, double roller LT4 chain, 30# SVO injectors, typical bolt ons, 0411 PCM, 1 3/4" custom LT headers, custom firing order cam, Mounted in front of C5 torque tube and T-56 with custom crank spacer plate, not done yet so no dyno #'s since changes.

427ci TPI
Casting#183 Bowtie block, Offset ground 3.875" crank to 4" stroke with honda journals, custom firing order cam, FIRST TPI intake, ported aluminum heads to match. Waiting on parts from the machine shop.

335ci Tuned Port L99 (baby LT1)
similar to LT1 above but smaller. Waiting on parts to send to machine shop. I need more cash around here.

I've done lots of rebuilds and no buck/low buck mods and porting to TPI and LT1 engines. They are fun to play with.
