What Carb Cfm should I use.
I am having a problem deciding what cfm carb to use. I have tried all the equations to figure out what cfm is optimum but it doesnt seem right. I have an 84' camaro z28 with a stock LG4 and a manual tranny. I am going to change the heads to 1.94 intake and have them ported and put a weiand action plus intake on it. I also dont know if I should use mechanical or vacum secondaries.

i've read somewhere that mechanical secondaries are better when used with a manual trans but don't quote me.

A 450 CFM carb would feed a stock LG4. 1.94" valves and the intake change won't change that any.
Any particular reason you're giving up on the stock q-jet?

I dont like the computer controlled Q-Jet. I dont have anything against Q-Jets I just want something less complicated to tune.
