Yep, I used to use a SR on my 383. Then I got tired of always fighting vacuum leaks. I went through like five sets of gaskets in 2-3 years with it. Fix one, and 3 weeks later one would crop up...

On my 91 I left the temp switch operational and di the wiring change and now have both - ECM controlled 2nd fan and the fall back to the temp switch if something else fails.

Installed the correct oil pressure sender and the gauge works fine now.

UPDATE - Bought a new reman ECM, plugged it in and the CEL is still on. And now the choke light is on as...

They're valve reliefed hypereutics that are .010 in the hole. Gave me 10.5 compression with the former Sportsman II with 64cc chambers. So I went with the 65cc AFR 190 Eliminators and .027 Cometic...

I've tried it using both a "code reader" (OBD1) as well as a jumper wire between the top two pins on the right hand corner. The check engine light just stays on solid, no codes are being displayed....
