Re: 92 V6 Slight Ruff Idle, increases under load

I knew that the issue could be 1 of many different things.
What I was attempting to do was compile a checklist and then go through them one by one till I found the issue.
I knew of many things,...

Re: Idle mysteriously at random revs over 7000rpm when braking

It almost sounds like a faulty Throttle Position Sensor (TPS)
I do not know what the default mode for it is, if you disconnect it.

Assuming your car is not modified to the point where you don't...

Re: Starter prob?

Will the car start?
Does it turn over slowly?
Have you tried getting someone else to crank it, while the car is in a dark place while you looked for sparks?

Have you checked for exhault leaks...

Re: old idle/stalling problem after headers

Assuming this is a Third Generation 82 - 92 Camaro or Firebird and you put headers on it.
Based on the 3.1L I would assume its around 90-92.
If so, it would have had an oxygen sensor and...

Re: Is this a 1982 Trans Am part?

It does not look like a Firebird or Camaro part to me.

Here is my rule of thumb.

I am guessing you hear this sound while it is cranking?
The sound of water boiling is really odd though, that is throwing me way off.

Re: need some help`

Another thing came to mind also.
What do you have your fuel pressure set to?

I had a similar problem and found out my bypass regulator was not sending the correct pressure to the carb.

92 V6 Slight Ruff Idle, increases under load

My Friend just bought a 92 Camaro with a V6 and a 5 spd.

It had a slight stumble in its idle and seemed to get more noticeable while driving around 1700 rpm and 2800 rpm.

He figured it might...

I just...
