Re: quad t. twin turbo 283 tpi

Good luck: you'll always have people suggest that you should trash your setup and go with a 350 (and when you get a 350, they'll say 383, then 400, then a big block, then aftermarket block bbc...),...

Re: 85 Iroc broke down had to get towed

Ok, the pump is working but not producing fuel pressure. You're measuring it at the engine? Can you measure it at/near the pump? If the pump is producing proper pressure there, there's a clog. If...

Re: Can someone explain the purpose of a converter lock up switch?

Wonder why they got rid of that, seemed like a really cool thing to have on a trans. 'Course, GM also got rid of the turbocharged aluminum v8, the air-cooled flat 6, a couple different v16's, an...

Re: Can someone explain the purpose of a converter lock up switch?

Exactly, you can get away without a lockup circuit, you'll just have warmer trans temps on the highway and slightly lower gas mileage. An improperly set up Throttle Valve however can burn up your...

Dang! I wanted to put a diesel in a 3rd gen. I suppose I can still do it, I just hope it isn't as boring as tossing in a 350 or 383 by then (waiting for the new GM turbodiesel, 4.5l). Well, I applaud...
