Re: '89 Formula, Nice Car, Mostly Original

In a way, I hope no-one buys it. I'm very torn. I'm continuously bouncing back and forth on this. I've had the car 20 years. I just feel sick selling it, but I also don't want it just sitting.

Re: Fuel injecter connection.....are they shorter?

They are shorter but they run just fine. Jon modifies them so that can't fall out of the rails. Put a little lube on 'em and just push 'em down as far as they'll go.

Don't use the stock clips.

Re: How fast is a 92 camaro w/o a the speed limiter

Re: 305 replacement question

If you're going to get a reman, don't go to a parts-store chain. Spend a little more, go to GM and get one (yes they sell reman engines). The parts stores motors are junk.

Re: 91 long cranking when warm

The coolant sensor in the front of the intake manifold may be bad. The one to the left of the hose that leads to the throttle body.

If it's not that, your injectors may be leaking down.

Sounds to me like the 350 that's in your car isn't a "roller motor." If you need buy TPI parts for a non roller, you must specify '85 or '86 305 (non-roller) parts.

Things changed a little WRT...
