there was an lt1 STYLE motor built but it was a 4.8l i think. If the the crank was used out of it there would be no extra work as reusing the 5.7l rods and some off the shelf pistons for a sbc 302...

Just ran across this, throwing it out there for you die-hard lt1/4 and sbc guys. It looks like a really good system, but a bit pricey.

i never use the seals and only use blk rtv for the front and rear as well as a little around the h2o ports on both sides of the gasket and a small stream from the h2o ports to the front and rear....

i would coat it to be safe you can buy a coating you can put on yourself that is made for gastanks ,or at least paint it but i'm sur you at least did that.

keep in mind the stock ls2 cam doesnt have the ring for the ls1 cam sensor so unless you switch to the ls2 timing chain and front cover and extend the wires you cant use it. I'm also running and ls2...

the speedo runs off the tranny, what tranny are you running? Is it electric or mech? You may just need a convertor box and do some wiring, for the speedo at least.
