I dont think so. It seems that a n/a motor is going to last longer then a boosted motor also it costs less and is easier to make a ton of power with a large ci motor then it is with a small ci motor...

My alt has a plug also but as far as i know its for the ecm. As long as your alt has the large wire that goes to the starter(or batt ) Connected it should be fine iirc.
