I had it where one of might lights did not pop up, it happened to my relay for the headlight. What sounds like is wrong with your car is a fuse.

I had a similar problem. My pinion gear was on its way out, it finally gave up and blew one day. I got rid of my stock 9-bolt and replaced it with a 10-bolt from a 94 camaro.
