The manifold does have the provisions for a divorced type choke set-up. All you will need to do is drill and tap the holes to mount the choke itself to the manifold.

I dunno, I have PBR 13" brakes and Autocross/Road Race with them and have had no problems. But I also use brake fluid recirculators on the fronts with SRF, so that may be the difference.
