I've started a bunch of threads, here they are from beginning to end (if you care - maybe you don't - if you don't, you're free to click back to the swap forum. . .

Okay, I guess I left one off: https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/ltx-...ing-close.html
First stick shift race is April 25th. Exhaust won't be done until next week (assuming they can get me in). First track test will either be the 21st or 23rd.

I hope so. Not saying everyone should do what I did, but if documenting what I found helps out someone else, I'm happy.
And you, sir, have been an invaluable source of information yourself!
After I get the interior buttoned up and the hood on, I plan on doing a little video tour.

I didn't include the ones I started about the LQ4/4L80E for the '57, or the LS1/4L60E for Berlinetta #1, or some other less specific posts.

Re: Summary of my LS1/T56 swap
Very cool! Im sitting here a little gobsmacked at the moment. I re-read some of those threads and some of the posts in particular brought back a ton of memories... What a crazy ride it is to go from start to finish on one of these swaps eh?
Good times. Good threads. Carry on

I guess now I can say I've "driven" an LSx powered vehicle.

And, the rear gears are toast. Case spread caused smearing of the ends of the ring gear teeth. Judging by the onset of the return road noise, I'd say it was the 3rd pass.
So, I added the latest links to the first post.

Based on my 3 year experience:
55k-mile LS1/T56 drop-out (back when they cost more - includes freight) - $4400
Swap-worthy recipient car - $2075
Swap support parts, ups, and extras (including costs associated with not listening to TGO advice) - ~$8200*
Smile that can't be wiped off your face while going through the gears - Priceless
*This is not an audit-certified number. Been afraid to actually add it all up. Still need to get the AC hooked up and charged.

I am now.
Best to date from Bandimere: 13.48 @ 104.6 with 2.01 60' (the ET was a break-out run, I actually backed off about 1 mph, so it may have been a little quicker, even).
